Join struggle for change, Escudero urges youth
BAYAMBANG, Pangasinan — Student leaders of the Pangasinan State University (PSU) in this town held here a forum with opposition Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero as the guest.
Senator Escudero answered all questions, giving serious and lighter sides on the different issues raised by the students.
He said that it is time for the youth to act now, urging them to come out in the open and exert energy and vigor in the struggle for change.
The young senator asked them to assert themselves as he believes that they have the capacity and ability to uplift the nation to a greater level.
He said that the youth can make a difference in the bid for the progress of the nation, adding he is counting on them to take the challenge of becoming stakeholders and of becoming the new leaders.
Senator Escudero was joined in the forum by Abono party-list Rep. Robert Raymund Estrella, Abono party-list Chairman Rosendo O. So, Bayambang Mayor Ricardo Camacho, Councilor Levin Uy, and Mapandan Mayor Jose Ferdinand Calimlim Jr.
Students of PSU thanked Senator Escudero for coming all the way from Manila to attend the forum and for enlightening them on the country’s need for young leaders to run the government.
