Although Derek Ramsey has received his anniversary gift from girlfriend Angelica Panganiban, he won’t reveal what it is.

“It’s something I really, really want,” Derek said in a “Showbiz News Ngayon” interview.

He added that Angelica “connived” with his best friend Martin Castro to deliver the surprise.

“Niloko nila ako na…kasi merong ganoon ang best friend ko. Ibinigay niya sa akin ‘yong ganoon niya kasi wala pa ‘yong kanya,” was Derek’s vague explanation.

Earlier, Derek gifted Angelica with a Mini Cooper for their third year anniversary. Angelica said she had been wanting to have that car for a long time but didn’t actually expect Derek to grant her wish until he did.

Angelica’s yellow Mini Cooper must have set back Derek more than a million peso.

Aside from the expensive gifts that the couple exchanged, a more expensive present is forthcoming – a trip to South Africa to watch the FIFA World Cup. They intend to spend time together abroad for two months.

“Before the year ends, we’re planning a trip, to go somewhere. Kasi ‘yan na lang ang chance naming magkasama,” Derek said.

Another of Derek’s wishes is to take a sidetrip to England where he grew up. In an interview, he said he wanted Angelica to see where he’s from “because she’s shown me where she’s from, Tondo.”
