PCA organizes largest building technology show

The country’s largest construction exhibition, Philconstruct 2009, is gearing up for its 19th annual run on Nov. 12-15 at the SMX Convention Center, Manila. The show is expecting more than 1,200 exhibitors to occupy over 25,000 sqm of exhibition space. It will be the biggest International Construction Equipment & Building Materials Exhibition and Technology Forum the country has ever hosted.

“The event is an overall industry affair covering construction, engineering, mining, equipment rental, real estate, and interior design. Last year, we started taking giant steps towards this direction. This year our goal is to strengthen this further by enhancing PCA's partnership and relationship with various organizations representing these core industries,” said Tito Manalo, overall chairman of Philconstruct 2009 and 1st VP of the Philippine Constructors Association (PCA), the organizer of the show.

The fair is supported by some of the important industry organizations –Association of Carriers & Equipment Lessors Inc. (ACEL), the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE), the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID), the Philippine Society of Ventilating, Air-conditioning, and Refrigerating Engineers (PSVARE), and the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP).

Visitors to the exhibition can find an extensive range of products on display. The sixth Estilo de Vida, presented by The Home Depot, will also showcase cost-effective solutions focusing on eco-friendly materials.

There will be an outdoor display featuring heavy and light construction equipment. Other activities will be a film on Megaconstruction projects, a Technoforum on topics related to construction and equipment management, air-conditioning, electrical, mechanical and civil engineering,
concrete and steel technologies, environmental and eco-friendly solutions to construction.
