A young man was stabbed dead after being caught in a brawl among groups of youths in Quezon City before dawn Friday.

Police identified the victim as Raymund Torefranca, 18, a resident of No. 119 Kaliraya St., Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City.

Torefranca sustained multiple stab wounds in different parts of the body and was declared dead on arrival at the Delos Santos Medical Center.

Police said that a certain Amay has been identified as the person who stabbed and killed the victim.
Investigators said that the stabbing incident took place at around 2 a.m. along Kaliraya St., Barangay Tatalon.

Witnesses told police that the victim was sleeping along the circle in Kaliraya St. when he was woken up by a group of youths who were engaged in a brawl.

Torefranca tried to run for safety but he was blocked by the suspect who was armed with a knife.

The suspect then repeatedly stabbed the victim before running away.
