Two people died before dawn Saturday when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a speeding car on a highway in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

Police identified one of the two fatalities as Ireneo I. Toledo Jr., 27, of 414 Pag-asa Buenavista III, General Trias, Cavite. The other victim, a woman, remained unidentified..

The woman died after she was ran over by another speeding car after she fell from the motorcycle driven by Toledo.

Police officers held the drivers of the two cars involved in the accident. They were identified as Ryan B. Esterita, 23, Barangay Sta. Cristina 1, Dasmariñas, and Ryan Jay C. Obinia, 27, of 227 Villaverde Subdivision, Imus, Cavite.

Esterita is a driver of an Isuzu AUV (DXN-319) while Obinia a Mitsubishi Adventure (ZRY-988).

Investigation showed that Esterita's AUV collided with Toledo's motorcycle as the two-wheel vehicle
was overtaking another car along the highway.

Esterita's vehicle was traveling on the opposite lane when it hit the motorcycle, it was gathered. The impact threw the bodies of Toledo and the woman back rider on the highway.

As the woman was lying on the pavement, Obinia's Adventure came by and ran over her body. Toledo and his woman companion died on the spot. They both suffered head and body injuries.
