Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson, in a privilege speech Monday accused former President Joseph "Erap" Estrada of systemic corruption when he was still president, involvement in the Dacer-Corbito murder case, harassment, and smuggling.

According to him, Erap also used the Philippine National Police to harass Alfonso Yuchengco's son to force Yuchengco to sell his shares in PLDT.

On the issue of smuggling, Erap allegedly helped bring into the country smuggled rice and dressed chicken from China.

Lacson said that he had to "unburden myself on my insights on the character of President Estrada." He ended his speech by saying "God save the Philippines from Joseph Ejercito Estrada" in line with Erap's plan to run in the 2010 elections.
