Energy Logics Philippines Inc. of the Delgado group is committing three-phased investments of over $1.0 billion within four prospect sites in Ilocos Norte and Subic in Zambales.

Energy Logics corporate secretary Red Peneyra said the first phase of the company’s projects would be the 120-megawatt Pasuquin facility which is targeted on stream in two years time.

“We actually have four sites, the first one is in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte and this is the one we’re converting today,” he said. The conversion is from pre-commercial contract (PCC) to pre-development service contract (PDSC) so the project developers would be able to avail of incentives under the Renewable Energy Act. Peneyra said after the 120-MW facility, the next phase will entail additional capacity of 80-MW; and the two project sites in Subic are targeted to contribute an aggregate 200 MW in their portfolio.
