Refusing to comment on her rumored rift with Sunshine Dizon, actress Iza Calzado almost pleadingly asked the press to refrain from pursuing the issue.

"‘Wag na natin pag-usapan ‘yan," she said during the “Yaya and Angelina: The Spoiled Brat Movie” press huddle. "It would be better for both of us (if nothing is written about it)."

Iza feels that “nata-trap lang kami sa mga questions n’yo, so tapusin na po natin.”

Speculations vary on how the supposed gap between Iza and Sunshine started.

One of these is that the two allegedly snubbed each other during a chance meeting in a noontime show. Another version is that Sunshine purposely did not greet Iza on her birthday.

Yet another, which Manila Bulletin Entertainment Online uncovered, was that the gap sprung while the two were working on the TV series, "All About Eve." 

Iza was said to have complained of having to sacrifice for and adjust to Sunshine who allegedly always arrives late for shoots.

The straw that broke the camel’s back, so the story goes, was when Iza was asked to change clothes just because its color was similar to that which Sunshine was wearing that day.

Many expect the alleged spat between the two actresses to escalate once GMA unveils their solo TV shows namely “Tinik Sa Dibdib” for Sunshine and “Kaya Kong Abutin Ang Langit” for Iza.

“Tinik” and “Langit” will soon premiere on GMA-7’s Sine Novela afternoon block.

Iza also denied having a rift with Ogie Alcasid.

It can be recalled that the media accidentally discovered the identity of Iza's non-showbiz boyfriend during Ogie's recent birthday bash.

Many say Iza blames Ogie for the unintended revelation.

“Hindi naman niya kasalanan ‘yon kasi hindi naman niya alam na darating ako na may kasama,” said Iza in Ogie’s defense. “Noong una yata, wala talagang media. Eh, hindi ko na siya natawagan para i-verify. Akala ko, parang barkada-barkada lang, ‘yung tipong intimate gathering lang.”

Iza added that Ogie, who is one of “Yaya and Angelina” lead stars, had already apologized to her for what happened.
