As a sign of her undying support for her ‘idol’ John Lloyd Cruz, TV host-actress Ruffa Gutierrez rented a cinema in Greenbelt 3 on Sept. 16 for an exclusive screening of his latest starrer, “In My Life.”

“S’yempre, support ko ito sa Star Cinema, kay Ate Vi, kay JL [John Lloyd] at kay Luis. Maganda daw talaga ang pelikula kaya excited na akong mapanood,” Ruffa said in “Showbiz News Ngayon” the day after she watched the movie with at least 50 of her friends. 

Ruffa clarified  that she did not pay for the entire amount.

“Excuse me naman, they [her friends] are paying, ha? Hindi ako ang nagbabayad para sa kanila!” she exclaimed.

When asked why she did not attend either of the two “In My Life” premieres, Ruffa said she had  "fever."

“[At] meron na nga kaming [exclusive] screening para sa kanila, noh!” she quipped.

The actress revealed that John Lloyd knew about and thanked her for the exclusive screening . 

“First time ko itong ginawa [exclusive screening] but I’ll do the same for Richard [Gutierrez for his forthcoming movie, ‘Patient X’],” said she.
