TV host-actress Jolina Magdangal is slowly opening up when it comes to her love life.
 
When cornered at the unveiling of Star City’s adventure-filled arena last Sept. 18, Jolina gamely answered questions on her rumored suitor, Rivermaya drummer Mark Escueta.

“Ang nagustuhan ko sa kanya, may respeto siya sa mga magulang ko. Kahit nga sa iba ko pang relatives, talagang magaling siyang makisama,” Jolina said.

However, Jolina did not categorically admit that they are already a couple, except to say that she enjoys Mark’s company.

Jolina recently brought Mark to the farewell party for TV series, “Adik Sa ‘Yo.”

In an interview aired on “Startalk” last Sept. 12, she said that it was the “Adik Sa ‘Yo” staff who coaxed her to invite Mark to the party.

“[Pero] never naman siyang dumalaw sa taping ng show. Feeling ko lang, kasi work din ‘yon eh. Kasabay ng recording, kumbaga, ‘yong schedule ko ng taping, schedule din nila,” she said.

Jolina says she has a big fan of Rivermaya since she was in high school. The title of “Adik Sa ‘Yo,” in fact, comes from the Rivermaya hit song, “Hinahanap-hanap Kita.”

Jolina, who broke up with her long-time boyfriend months ago, is, indeed, brokenhearted no more.

“Hindi ko akalain na makaka-feel ako ng ganito. Noong nasa moving on stage ako, ang iniisip ko lang, ayaw ko nang maging malungkot.”

So, why won’t she say outright that she is in love with Mark?

“Ayoko pang mag-elaborate. [Basta] masaya ako [at] naii-inspire sa [mga] ginagawa ko.”

Other celebrities who graced the Star City event were Luke Mejares and Kris Lawrence together with players from Cosplay.Ph.

One of the latest attractions in Star City is called the Lazer Blaster. It is a state-of-the-art fantasy gaming that allows patrons to enjoy Star Wars-like adventure games. The elaborate set has a seemingly realistic jungle, an army vehicle and even an airplane. An instruction video before one enters the ‘jungle,’ explains the mechanics of the game.

Another must-experience Star City attraction is The Snow World with its newly designed ice sculptures and arctic-like ambience.
