Young actress Pauleen Luna had already said several times that lack of time took a toll on her budding relationship with Dennis Trillo.

In past interviews, the two even admitted that though they were dating during the course of working on the TV series "Adik Sa 'Yo," they got to spend less time with each other once the show ended.

However, a source told Manila Bulletin Entertainment Online that there's more to the young couple’s separation; that though no third party was involved, jealousy was still ‘at fault’ for the break-up.

Dennis, according to our source, was meddling with what Pauleen wears in her shows.

One instance, the source said, was when Dennis saw her wearing very, very short shorts while hosting “Eat Bulaga.” Dennis was said to have been so pissed that he called her attention to it.

Another story has it that the actor did not approve of Pauleen wearing another “too sexy” outfit in another show. Dennis reportedly called the actress' wardrobe assistant to ask why Pauleen was made to wear such an outfit.

Pauleen was reportedly so upset over Dennis’s meddling ways that when he showed up in her house one day, she immediately initiated the break-up.

On “Startalk” last Sept. 19, Pauleen admitted that she and Dennis are still friends.

She revealed that she saw Dennis last during the wake of Jollybee “JB” Borbajo who died in an accident while vacationing in Boracay with Dennis.

Pauleen said she and Dennis were not able to talk then because they were there to pay respect to JB.

The actress added that she was surprised to learn that Dennis was with actress Maxine Eigenmann when the actor figured in an accident in Boracay. 

Still, I think I was the first person that Dennis called about the [Boracay] incident,  Pauleen said.
