Huge creative multi-media market bared
With 90 percent of all American television animation being produced in Asia to date and the global television broadcast expected to grow 14 percent to $326 billion by 2010, “The challenge is how providers can keep pace with technology,” according to Teddy D. Tiu, Autodesk country manager in the Philippines.
Overall, the global creative multimedia market is projected to reach $650 billion in 2011 and Asia is the focus of this growing industry, he pointed out. “We have vast opportunities for local film export, outsourcing, collaborative animation services and revitalizing the whole industry in Asia.”
Asian governments recognize the industry potential, injecting significant investments and initiatives to boost resources, talents and infrastructure support.
Furthermore, “Artists should continue to use technology to provide the demands of digital entertainment,” Tiu noted. “The advancement of Autodesk digital entertainment creation solutions
is critical to fuel the emerging needs of the Asian animation, film and entertainment industry.”
Last week, Autodesk, Inc. launched its latest solutions for digital entertainment creation, including Autodesk Maya 2010 and Digital Entertainment Creation product Suites which can generate up to 39 per cent cost savings versus purchasing each product license separately.
Add to that, artists can increase creative capability, optimize productivity and achieve higher-quality results when handling tough production challenges.
“Artists need more creative capability than ever before to win viewers attention and engage their emotions in today’s fast-moving, prolific world of digital entertainment and design. These new solutions help artists win by design, transforming creative ideas to the final frame in superior quality with less time and less budget,” the Autodesk country manager explained.
The improved version of Autodesk Maya 2010 software unifies the Maya Complete 2009 and Maya Unlimited 2009 feature sets into a single, offering at almost half the cost, from P450,000 to P260,000.
