Kris Aquino sells house for Noynoy, denies animosity with Korina
TV host-actress Kris Aquino has sold her and James Yap's house in Valle Verde with the entire proceeds going to her brother, Sen. Noynoy Aquino’s campaign kitty.
The announcement came from Kris herself during the press conference for her new endorsement for Downey in Plaza Ibarra, Quezon City, Sept. 24.
Kris declined to reveal neither the amount nor the buyer’s identity.
For weeks now, Kris has been saying publicly that she's willing to sell her house to be able to help her brother Noynoy raise fund for his candidacy.
Co-host Boy Abunda also expressed willingness to do the same with his two houses but not his ancestral house in Samar, although his mom had told him to do so.
Kris said she's giving brother Noynoy all she earned from the sale of the house. She's now scouting for a new condominium unit in Makati.
The TV host also talked about Willie Revillame, saying she will not take it against him if he chooses to endorse the presidential bid of Sen. Manny Villar instead of Sen. Noynoy Aquino.
"Walang problema doon. Nagkausap (na) kami ni Willie noong nagbakasyon ako sa Hawaii," she said.
Then she added: "Basta, 'wag lang niyang babalahurain si Noy!"
Kris also addressed the "imagined animosity" between her and broadcaster Korina Sanchez whom many deem has been hurting since her beau, Sen. Mar Roxas gave way to Sen. Aquino's presidential bid.
Sen. Mar has since accepted Aquino’s offer to run as his vice president in the 2010 elections.
Kris said she will understand if Korina chooses to forego her earlier decision to get Baby James as ring bearer in her wedding with Sen. Mar on Oct. 27.
"Okay lang kung kukunin pa rin niya si Baby James. Pero kung hindi naman, hindi ko naman ipipilit. Maiintindihan ko," said Kris.
