Jay-Z proves with his latest CD, “The Blueprint 3,” that he still has the goods that made him an A-lister.

"The Blueprint  3," which enabled Jay-Z to surpass the record set by Elvis as solo act with the most number one albums in the Billboard 200 albums’ 50-year-plus history, remains at number one for the second straight week.

Still, Beyonce’s better half shouldn’t be too comfy as diva Whitney Houston continues to breathe down his neck with her excellent comeback disc, “I Look To You.”

On the singles chart, no song has dislodged Black Eyed Peas'  “I Gotta Feeling”—not even “Run This Town” by Jay-Z, Rihanna & Kanye West which is at the number two spot.

Losing a notch is the aptly titled “Down” by Jay Sean (feat. Lil Wayne), now at number three. Up two notches from last week is teen country singer Taylor Swift with “You Belong With Me” at number four.

A new entry in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 chart -- and the biggest gainer in the singles chart -- is “Empire State Of Mind” by none other than Jay-Z (with Alicia Keys).

“Empire State of Mind” puts one over Miley Cyrus’ “Party In The USA” which loses steam to fall three notches to number six.

Recent Manila visitor, Lady Gaga, finally makes it to the top ten a fourth timer with her song, “Paparazzi,” at number seven. She is trailed at number eight by Drake (feat. Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem) with “Forever.”

The Kings Of Leon goes down four notches to number nine with “Use Somebody.” John Derulo closes the top ten with “Watcha Say.”
