Actors Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo saw to the welfare of their long-time friend, actress Gladys Reyes who, together with her family, was stranded in her house in Vista Verde, Cainta, Rizal over the weekend. Gladys said she was teary-eyed seeing Ryan brave the flood with his raft to rescue them. The Agoncillo’s brought Gladys milk and food.
“Wowowee” host Willie Revillame, together with Sen. Manny Villar, gave packed lunch to flood victims. All of the packed lunch bore a note that read, “Tulong Mula Kay Manny Villar.” Below the message was a check mark--Manny’s campaign sign.
Revillame and Villar rode a helicopter that enabled them to distribute the packages to residents of Pasig, Marikina, Montalban, San Mateo, Marcos Highway and other areas that were unreachable by land.
TV host-cager Chris Tiu has appealed to the public to send out donations for victims of typhoon “Ondoy.” Interested parties can drop off their donations at Ateneo de Manila University.
