Sen. Bong Revilla and Lani Mercado’s grandson, Gab Revilla, stole the show with the dance number he performed during the senator's birthday bash at Whitespace, Makati City, last Sept. 25.

All in the troop—consisting of Bong's wife Lani, and their children Bryan, Jolo, Ram, Luigi, Innah, Gianna, and Loudette—gave their terpsichorean best to the Wonder Girls’ "Nobody." However, it was Gab’s amusing improvisation of his dance steps that captured the crowd.

Gab is the son of Jolo Revilla and Grace Adriano, Rosanna Roces’ daughter. Only a babe, he has nevertheless been controversial ever since Rosanna protested on her Facebook account, his living with the Revillas.

Apart from the dance number, Lani and the children gave the well-loved senator a framed photo of the whole family.

Bong’s birthday bash was dubbed “Kap’s Amazing Birthday” after his GMA-7 show, "Kap’s Amazing Stories." The event was hosted by Paolo Bediones and Tuesday Vargas, and had performances by R&B star Jay-R, the band Retrospect, and singer-comedienne Marissa Sanchez.

Bong’s PR lady, Chit Ramos, who was also celebrating her birthday that night, blew out the candles and made a wish together with Bong.

The birthday party was a star-studded event attended by a mix of politicians and showbiz personalities.

No less than President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo herself came to the affair as did Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro, Secretary Gabriel Claudio, Commissioner Marcelino Libanan (who performed five acoustic numbers that night in honor of the celebrant), Mayor ER Ejercito, Jinggoy Estrada, Gov. Chavit Singson, Gov. Teng Mangudadatu, Cong. Boying Remulla, and Mayor Sherwin Gatchalian.

Early birds were actors Lorna Tolentino, Isabel Rivas, Azenith Briones, Tirso Cruz III, boxing champ Nonito Donaire, Dan Fernandez, and Richard Gutierrez.

The Revilla family came in full force, including Bong's sisters Princess, Rowena, Andrea, and Diana as well as his brothers Marlon and Mayor Strike Revilla.

Annabelle Rama, her husband Eddie Gutierrez, and their daughter Ruffa Gutierrez, along with Annabelle’s wards Bubbles Paraiso, Carla Humphries, and Miriam Quiambao, arrived at midnight.

Also at the party were National Artist Carlo J. Caparas and his wife Donna Villa, as well as PCSO chairman Manoling Morato.

Other well-wishers were TAPE INC.’s Malou Choa-Fagar, Bong Alvarez, Claire dela Fuente, Phoemela Barranda, Boots Anson Roa, Phillip Cruz, Jhong Hilario, and Carlos Morales.

Actor Philip Salvador, one of Bong’s best friends who came late, said no storm can stop him from attending Bong’s celebration.

“Alam ko nagtatampo ka ngayon. Hindi namin nakalimutan ang birthday mo kaya kahit may bagyong Ondoy at galing pa kami ng Mindoro ay tumuloy kami rito. Alam mo bang may pambihis kami sa sasakyan?” Phillip said.
