Heartthrob Sam Milby joined ex-girlfriend Anne Curtis in distributing relief goods to “Ondoy” victims in Marikina.

Anne has been helping Ondoy victims through ABS-CBN’s outreach program since Sept. 28. She has helped pack relief goods and man the help hotlines during a telethon organized by the station.

“Ang sarap-sarap ng pakiramdam na makatulong sa mga victims ng trahedyang nangyari,” she said on “Showbiz News Ngayon,” Sept. 29.

Anne admires the typhoon victims who are able to maintain a positive disposition despite their losses.

She said: “Meron pa rin silang ngiti, alam mo ‘yon? Bumabati sila nang may ngiti na parang wala silang problema and I think  all the more they realize na, 'yong mga may bahay pa---wala silang right na magreklamo.

“Kasi itong mga taong ito, home ang nawala sa kanila. Pero ang ngiti nila, nandidiyan pa rin.”

Although Pasig is one of the hardest hit areas by typhoon Ondoy, Sam considers it a miracle that his house was spared from disaster.

“Nagtaka ako na hindi lumubog ang bahay ko (considering) I live in Pasig naman. Blessed ako,” he said.

With this, Sam took it upon himself to reach out to the Ondoy victims.“Sa mga binaha, I am here to help out. Sobrang heartbreaking talaga lahat ng nangyari, (to see) how many people got affected by the typhoon."

Anne and Sam are starring in a new Star Cinema movie. They have remained friends even after their rumored break-up. Sam was Anne’s date in the third Star Magic Ball held two months ago.
