Delta Electronics Group and APC by Schneider Electric introduced recently their respective new power solutions and service to the local business community.

In press conferences held a few days apart from its each other, Delta Electronics Group, the world's largest provider of switching power supplies and DC brushless fans, as well as a world-leading power solutions, announced its appointment of American Technologies, Inc. as distributor and marketing arm in the Philippines.

"We are constantly expanding our product portfolio to provide top-of-the- line technologies for our customers, and Delta has a strong track record as provider of resilient and reliable power solutions,” said Faustino Co, president of American Technologies, Inc. in a press release.

He continued, "A strong IT infrastructure is essential to our customers, and Delta meets the growing need for manageable, high performance uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and data center solutions, helping our customers do more with their existing resources and budget."

The two companies jointly launched Delta’s latest NH Plus Series in the local market for increasing data center demands, being one of the first worldwide.

The NH Plus Series offers more than 94% overall efficiency thus saving on operating costs. “Unlike other back-up power providers, Delta comes in a modular design built for high flexibility and scalability in system configuration, easy inventory management and lower TCO (Total Cost of Ownership). Furthermore, Delta boosts availability of information and communication systems while helping customers cut data center costs,” the news release said.

Said Danny Chang, Marketing Manager for Energy Solution Business Group of Delta Electronic, Inc. "We are pleased to work with ATI – their technical expertise, marketing and sales focus will help us expand our presence and market share in the growing Philippines market."

APC GALAXY 3500 FOR SMALL DATA CENTERS

For its part, APC by Schneider Electric announced the availability of the APC Galaxy 3500, an innovative, three-phase general purpose UPS. With an optimized footprint in a sturdy enclosure, the APC Galaxy 3500 is suitable for a wide range of applications in the 10-40kVA segment – from small data centers and electrical rooms up to highly-demanding industrial environments.

Relying on hot-swappable batteries, the new APC Galaxy 3500 results in reduced downtime and increased runtime scalability for IT and electrical room environments. Designed to pack a myriad of features into a small footprint, the APC Galaxy 3500 makes the best use of available space in tight environments, even those without dedicated IT space.

The double conversion on-line topology, critical for process control, industrial, electrical room, and automation control applications, delivers zero transfer time and perfect regulation, while the parallel capability – up to four units – for either capacity or redundancy delivers flexibility of evolution.

In addition, it features easily replaceable air filters that prevent dust and debris from affecting performance. The APC Galaxy 3500 also offers best in-class efficiency, up to 96 percent, for reduced cost of ownership.

“The APC Galaxy 3500 provides high-performance power protection and is the most efficient general-purpose UPS for electrical rooms and small data centers,” said Mangesh Wadhone, Product Manager – 3 Phase Power Products - Asia Pacific & Japan Zone APC, in press release. “This new offering lives by the reliability and robustness that you expect from the APC Galaxy product line with increased efficiency and modularity.”
