Manila Bulletin led by its Chairman Dr. Emilio T. Yap launched a nationwide fund drive on voluntary basis starting September 30, 2009, to help the Tropical Storm Ondoy Victims with themselves setting the example by giving a modest personal contribution of P1,000,000.00 from its Chairman and another P1,000,000.00 from Manila Bulletin, to the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) as a gesture of their concern for the unfortunate victims.
The Manila Bulletin Chairman, Directors, Officers, Editors, and Staff appeal to their Readers, Advertisers, Friends, Supporters, Concerned Citizens, Government Officials, Business and Industrial Establishments, Banking and Financial Institutions, Foreign Embassies and Communities, Private and Public Organizations, to support this fund drive, a worthy cause in keeping with the spirit of sharing with our less fortunate brothers and sisters.
Only contributions in cash or in checks payable to “MANILA BULLETIN TROPICAL STORM ONDOY VICTIMS” will be accepted. All donations will be duly receipted.
Some donors may choose to give anonymously. They are requested to identify themselves by their initials to facilitate accounting.
All contributions received and published in the Manila Bulletin will be turned over on October 12, 2009 in equal proportions to Philippine National Red Cross and Department of Social Welfare and Development to help Tropical Storm Ondoy Victims either for food, medicine, clothing, or funeral expenses at their sole discretion.
Voluntary contributions may be sent to any of the following Manila Bulletin Offices during office hours from September 30, 2009 to October 10, 2009, except on Sunday.
