MSU conducts scholarship examination

MARAWI CITY – At least 95,000 high school graduating students from both public and private schools all over Mindanao took the annual admission and scholarship examination (SASE) over the weekend which was administered by the Mindanao State University (MSU) for the school year 2009-2010, Dr. Macapado A. Muslim, MSU president, told the Manila Bulletin Monday.

Muslim said the examination was conducted in 85 test centers all over Mindanao and manned by more than 160 test coordinators, chief examiners and proctors.

Before the examination was conducted, communication letters were sent to the respective test centers through the heads of the schools – public or private – for the information and guidance of high school students who will be graduating for school year 2009-2010, acting director office of admission, Dr. Aida Hafiza said.

According to Muslim, said graduating high school students who will pass the examination will be granted scholarship and study grant such as Science scholarship, academic scholarship, Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) scholarship assistance program, special Muslim study grant and corresponding allowances.

He said the MSU has eleven campuses found in this city, Iligan City, Tawi-Tawi, General Santos City, Maguindanao, Sulu, Naawan, Maigo, LNAC, LNCAT and Buug populated by more than 10,000 faculty members with different fields of specializations and doctoral degrees.
