“May the best man win” is how balladeer Christian Bautista envisions the scenario in which he will compete with fellow singer Mark Bautista for Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo’s heart.

Still, Christian said it’s far from happening because his focus nowadays is on work, specifically in promoting his latest album titled ““Romance Revisited: The Love Songs of Jose Mari Chan” under Universal Records.

The album may have started the rumors of Christian squiring on Sarah. The two, after all, duet in one its tracks.

“Anything can still happen. Kung maging sila ni Mark, great. If ever na destiny will lead me to Sarah, okay lang, walang problema,” Christian said on “Showbiz News Ngayon.”

Mark has been openly displaying his feelings for Sarah Geronimo. He even admitted to have been alarmed when rumors linking John Lloyd Cruz to Sarah circulated.

In the same “SNN” episode, Kris Aquino revealed that Baby James (her son with cager James Yap) will, after all, stand as ring bearer in the much-awaited wedding of broadcaster Korina Sanchez and Sen. Mar Roxas on Oct. 27.

Designer Randy Ortiz showed off Baby James’ intricately woven Barong Tagalog when the tot was brought to his shop for a fitting.

“Ito ‘yung mga detalye ng embroidery na kinamay. Ito, gawa ito sa Aklan. May mga burda na galing sa Lukban. This is made of pinya. Kapag malapitan, iba ‘yung texture,” Ortiz crowed.

“Medyo matagal ginawa kasi halo ang embroidery, ‘yung suksok sa Aklan, embroidery from Laguna, lahat kasi ginawa sa kamay. May ilalagay lang na kulay grey kasi iyon ‘yong vital accent,” he added.

Talks of Baby James not pushing through as ring bearer in the Roxas-Sanchez nuptial surfaced after Sen. Roxas suddenly announced his withdrawal from the presidential race in order to throw his support behind Sen. Noynoy Aquino’s bid.

It’s a decision that Korina allegedly opposed which people thought, also marred her friendship with Kris.
