Jessa Zaragoza channels the Icons

The country has been devastated by the aftermath of the treacherous typhoon that left many homes destructed and families helpless. Music transcends and lifts the spirit, and for this reason, the Phenomenal Diva Jessa Zaragoza held a special show at the Eastwood Open Park over the weekend for the benefit of the victims of typhoon Ondoy.
Sharing the gift of music, Jessa showcased tracks from her latest album “Jessa Sings The Great Musical Icons Volume I” with part of the proceeds donated to families hit hard by typhoon Ondoy.
Jessa’s latest offering is extra special because it’s her first solo album in six years. In this Double Disc Album, she pays homage to some of the world’s most influential and iconic artists in the music industry. Jessa gives a different twist to The Police’s “Every Breath You Take,” a stirring rendition of Anne Murray’s ballad “Broken Hearted Me,” and a lot more. This new offering also has a full minus one version of the whole album, plus a booklet of the lyrics to all the songs.
Jessa’s album is on sale in all major record bars nationwide and is distributed by MCA Music Inc. and is a joint production of Matua Agupa Corporation and ALV Music Company.

‘Katy Perry: Live in Manila’ concert postponed to Nov. 14
Music Management International (MMI) and All Youth Channels Inc. (AYC) postponed the “Katy Perry, Live in Manila” concert happening supposedly last Oct. 3. Set to make the concert much bigger, better and more relevant, the two companies will be transforming Katy Perry’s concert into a fund-raising gig scheduled on Nov. 14, still at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.
According to Ronald Esguerra, AYC’s Marketing and Communications Director, “we are currently working on foreign and local artists to join the cause. We feel that through the universal language of music, we will be able to unite and move everyone to help out.” The fund raiser’s net proceeds will be awarded to an agency that has actively and efficiently been deploying donations and aid to the typhoon victims. Name of agency is yet to be announced at a later date.
The concert would also be an avenue for people to drop off their donations as it houses booths specifically intended for it. Donations in kind like food, water, clothes, blankets and medicines are welcome. We highly encourage everyone to bring at least one item to donate. These items will be deployed to victims of the tropical storm. The concert is said to be the biggest fund raiser concert for the typhoon victims as foreign and local artists will be supporting the cause in Katy Perry’s lead.
