Claudine Barretto still angry with Rico Yan

Claudine Barretto admitted she still has ill-feelings towards her ex-boyfriend Rico Yan who passed away seven years ago.
“Lahat na lang ng gulo, ako lang mag-isa [ang humarap]. Akala nila ako ang may kasalanan. Parang na-crucify ako somehow. Parang feeling ko natakasan niya yung responsibilidad na dapat siya ‘yung humarap,” said she on “Startalk.”
The actress denied that she had left ABS-CBN. The rumor circulated after she signed with Viva Films recently.
“[It’s time for me] to experiment. Na-miss ko [na rin kasi] ang big screen. Sayang din ang oras,” she explained.
She also refuted talks that her eldest sister, Gretchen Barretto, has called it quits with partner Tony Boy Cojuangco.
“Imposible ‘yun kasi bago ‘yung bagyo nandun ako sa kanila. Okay na okay sila. The more na iniintriga sila, the more na tumitibay ‘yung relationship nila.”
And although Claudine is proud of her husband Raymart Santiago for heading the recent rescue operations in their neighborhood in Loyola Grand Villa, she admitted to have had the jitters for him.
“I really prayed [that] I won’t go through something as bad as losing someone again.”
Katrina Halili agog over Emmy nomination
“Magdusa Ka,” the soap opera in which Katrina plays lead role for the first time, is nominated in the International Emmy Awards for Best Telenovela. Katrina will attend the awards night with “Magdusa” director Maryo J. de los Reyes if they get invited.
Lovi Poe on her own
Singer-actress Lovi Poe said that should she move out of their house to live on her own, she will have her mother’s blessing to do so. “I bet [papayag siya] kasi pinalaki niya kaming independent, [and] she trusts me so there’s no problem,” said Lovi.
Jennylyn’s mom down with illness
The mother of Starstruck Ultimate Survivor Jennylyn Mercado, Mrs. Lydia Mercado, was rushed to the hospital recently. “Matagal na ‘yung ubo niya, lagi siyang nahihilo at nanghihina,” said Jennylyn.
The findings showed a small spot on her mother’s right lung, which may be a sign of tuberculosis. “Bumaba rin ang platelets niya so may mga ginagawa pang tests,” Jennylyn added.
Kuh’s ex-hubby freed from jail
Kuh Ledesma’s former husband, Luisito Gonzales, is now a free man following two years of incarceration.
Louie was imprisoned for allegedly killing his stepbrother Federico Delgado. He was proven innocent by 18 witnesses who testified that he was in the hospital when the crime happened.
“I have been praying for him,” said Kuh.
A teary-eyed Isabel, Kuh’s daughter, told “Startalk”, “I’m just so happy that my dad is finally free.”
A ghost on ‘Patient X’ set?
Richard Gutierrez said ghosts may have been with the cast and crew of “Patient X” while shooting in a location. Some members of the cast and crew swear to have heard “strange noises” while at work. They said a shadow floated behind one of the film’s co-producer.
‘Regine feels better now’ - Ogie
Although Ogie Alcasid confirmed that he had brought his girlfriend Regine Velasquez to the hospital for her “unbearable migraine attack,” he said she is now feeling better.
The two are set to launch a campaign CD for typhoon victims titled, “Kaya Natin ‘To.” It will feature such singers as Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano and Lea Salonga, and Regine and Ogie themselves. A concert in line with the campaign will also be held on Nov. 14 at the Araneta Coliseum.
No date yet for Rufa Mae wedding
Sexy comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto said she doesn’t want to preempt wedding plans with her mysterious non-showbiz beau. “Wala pang date, pero engaged na [kami]. Na-excite lang akong i-share kasi masarap ‘yung feeling,” said Lovi.
Rufa Mae denied that her beau is oblivious to her partnering with Japanese-Brazilian model Akihiro Sato on “Sinemaserye Presents: Moshi Moshi I Love You.”
“Di namin napag-uusapan kasi trabaho naman [‘yon],” she said.
Bianca King won’t settle down just yet
Actress Bianca King said she has no plans of walking down the aisle soon.
“Wala pa ‘yun sa isip ko. ‘Pag nasa tamang state of mind na ‘ko, kapag na-achieve ko na ‘yung mga gusto kong i-achieve, [then I’ll settle],” said she.
Asked if rumored boyfriend Champ Lui-Pio of Hale is waiting for her, Bianca quipped, “Bahala siya sa buhay niya, matanda na siya.” Champ refused to comment on the matter.
Hale’s video for their song “Bahay-Kubo,” which has been nominated for “Best Rock Video” at the 2009 NU Rock Awards, was directed by Bianca.
“It’s a great honor [to be nominated] but I’m not letting it go to my head. Gusto ko lang mag-direct ng maraming music videos at short films,” said Bianca.
Ara Mina’s beau caught on cam
Ara Mina’s non-showbiz boyfriend was caught on camera during the birthday celebration of Troy Montero and Aubrey Miles’ son, Hunter.
“Hindi siya sanay, [pero] okay lang naman siya, wala naman kaming magagawa,” said Ara.
The actress is happy with her love life, although she wants to keep their relationship away from the spotlight. “Gusto ko lang ng quiet na love life [kasi] gusto kong i-save’ tong relationship ko with him,” she explained.
Snooky’s daughters approve of her BF
Snooky Serna revealed that her daughters actually like her BF for her. She described her lovelife as “happy and comfortable.”
As for the status of relationship with ex-husband Ricardo Cepeda, Snooky put it as “flourishing.”
Manny’s message to typhoon victims
“’Wag tayong sumuko sa buhay natin dahil lahat ‘yan ay pagsubok lang at kaya nating lampas yan,” said he who recently donated relief goods to residents in Quezon City.
QC officials thank Sen. Revilla
Sen. Bong Revilla went to four barangays in Quezon City recently to distribute relief goods. Herbert Bautista, the city vice-mayor, and other officials was appreciative of Revilla’s gesture.
“Makakadugtong sa araw-araw na pamumuhay [ng mga residente] ‘tong tulong na ‘to,” said Herbert.
Aiko Melendez denies turning her back on QC residents
Aiko Melendez invited the press to cover her relief operations in Quezon City to disprove talks that she has been neglecting its residents.
“Ito ‘yung first time na may media. Hindi kasi ako ‘yung tipo ng politiko na bawat kibot ko ipapa-media ko,” she said.
Her message to hecklers: “Magpadala na lang kayo ng relief goods kaysa manira kayo.”
Emilio Garcia recounts Ondoy experience
Actor Emilio Garcia is grateful that although he and his wife were not home when Ondoy struck, one of their neighbors rescued and took in their three children. He said they will relocate from Cainta where their house got submerged in floodwater.
Heart Evangelista denies dating Dennis Trillo
TV host-actress Heart Evangelista may be dating nowadays but she clarified that the guy is not her fellow Kapuso star Dennis Trillo.
“Relax lang ako sa buhay ko. I’m sort of dating somebody but it’s not excusive. Mas prefer ko ang non-showbiz para mas tahimik,” said she.
Vilma Santos back with good news
Fresh from the successful international screening of her comeback film, “In My Life,” Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos shared that the Filipino communities in the U.S. and Canada gave donations for the Ondoy victims.
ABS-CBN Global also gave a dollar for every “In My Life” preview ticket that was sold.
Carmen Soo celebrates b-day in Manila
Malaysian model and actress Carmen Soo arrived yesterday in the country to make several appearances in the Kapamilya network. She guests on “ASAP ’09” on October 11 for her birthday celebration.
Carmen is also thrilled that her soap opera with Jericho Rosales titled, “Kahit Isang Saglit,” has been nominated for Best Telenovela in the 37th International Emmy Awards.
Coco Martin’s edge over Kim Bum
“Mas mapagmahal ang Pilipino [at] 'tsaka hindi siya [Maja] mahilig sa mayaman so may advantage kami,” enumerated Coco Martin, adding that he is not jealous of Kim Bum.
It can be recalled that Bum was in Manila recently to shoot a commercial with Maja who is Coco’s leading lady in “Nagsimula sa Puso.”
Asked if Maja shows him preferential treatment over her other suitors, Coco said: “Sweet siya sa lahat kaya mahirap bigyan ng ibang kahulugan [ang mga ginagawa niya].”
Twins get kicked out of ‘PBB’ house
Twins Toffi and Kevin Santos aka the “Basket-Bolero” and “Jocker Jock” of Rizal, respectively, are out of “Pinoy Big Brother Double Up.”
The two were axed from the show for failing to fulfill a task; that is, one of them was discovered in the shower room when they were supposed to have been in one house as per Kuya’s order.
More housemates will enter the house on Oct. 10 on the episode titled, “Pinoy Big Brother Double Up: The Spooftacular Reveal.”
