2 men lose lives over P842 loot
Two suspected robbers wasted their lives for a measly loot of P842 which was recovered from them when they were killed after shooting it out with responding policemen in Carmona, Cavite shortly before dawn Monday.
Senior Superintendent Alfred S. Corpuz, Cavite Police Provincial Office (CPPO) director, said the shootout took place after a 45-minute pursuit in the town's Barangay Mabuhay. He identified the fatalities as Emerick Lagaje, 21, and Donato Ancero, both of Barangay Pulido, General Mariano Alvarez (GMA) town also in Cavite.
Chief Superintendent Perfecto Palad, director of the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) Police, said the two slain suspects were confirmed to be behind the robbery at a gasoline station in Barangay Mabuhay in Carmona town at 2:45 a.m.
Barely an hour after pulling off the heist, Palad said policemen from Calabarzon and Carmona policemen, chanced upon the two robbers aboard a motorcycle along the national highway of Carmona town.
