Actor Jason Abalos admitted that he loves Maja Salvador because she has similarities with his mother.

“Si Maja kasi, galing ng probinsya at may mga katangian ng mga Ilokano. At ‘yung mga katangian ng nanay ko na nakita ko sa kaniya, marami,” he said during the press conference of “Nagsimula sa Puso” which features him, Maja, and Coco Martin.   

However, Jason has not courted Maja because he feels doing so will ruin their friendship.

"Masaya kami bilang magkaibigan. Siguro sa tamang oras…" he said.

“Nagsimula sa Puso” has many love scenes between Maja and Jason; more than the number of love scenes the actor had with Cristine Reyes in “Eva Fonda.”

"At saka mas intimate ang love scenes ko with Maja. Hindi kagaya sa ‘Eva Fonda’ na sex talaga,” he said.

Since “Nagsimula Sa Puso” is Maja’s first daring role, Jason took it upon himself to guide the actress in their intimate scenes.

"Kinakabahan ako para kay Maja kasi una niya ito. Hindi ko alam kung paano ko hahawakan ang eksena,  kung paano dadalhin kasi hindi naman puwedeng si Maja ang magdala. Kailangan sabay kami," he said.

According to a “Nagsimula sa Puso” press release, Maja plays the role of Celina, a woman whose life has become routinary because of her obedience to her mother. Jason and Coco play her suitors.

“Nagsimula sa Puso” airs on ABS-CBN weekdays after “Banana Split Daily Servings.”
