Typhoon "Ramil" continues to push towards North and Central Luzon
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Saturday morning issued its latest weather bulletin detailing the location and movement of Typhoon "Ramil" (internationally named as "typhoon Lupit").
As of 11 a.m on Saturday, "Ramil" was spotted at 780 kilometers east northeast of Cirac, Catanduanes, or 980 kilometeers east southeast of Casiguran, Aurora. The weather system, moving at a speed of 13 kilometers/hour (kph) towards the west northwest direction, was monitored to be carrying maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near its center and gustiness of 160 kph at its maximum.
However, the weather bureau noted that typhoon 'Ramil' will not have any significant effect on any part of the country in the next 36 hours, from the time it was monitored. As of the moment, no specific date has been given as to when the typhoon might make its landfall or the amount of rain that it carries.
