PRC announces 1,404 new mechanical engineers

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Friday that 1,404 out of 2,322 examinees passed the Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examinations given by the Board of Mechanical Engineering in Manila and Cebu this month.

The successful examinees who garnered the 10 highest places in the examination are:

Radino Encaya Estoria, Technological University of the Philippines-Manila, 89.35; Cesar Minorias Baron Jr., University of Cebu, 88.80; Marcelo Casquejo Santillan, Bicol University-Legazpi, 88.55; Mark Cecil Mirasol Tano, Cebu Institute of Technology, 87.80; Christopher Magnaye Requinto, Batangas State University-Batangas City, 87.75;

Dale Bryan Raiz Pacheco, Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, 87.40; Christopher Buenavente Sanchez, Bicol University-Legazpi, 87.20; Jan Derrick Hernandez Nidar, University of the Philippines-Diliman, 87.15; Michael Ernani Arce Andres, University of the Philippines-Diliman, 87.05; Ian Wildon Aquino Dizon, University of the East-Caloocan, 86.85.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate will be from October 26 to November 6, 2009.

The oath-taking ceremony of the successful examinees in the October examination in Manila as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on November 13, 2009, 1:30 p.m., the Tent, Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Manila. The oath-taking of examinees from Cebu will be announced later.

Registration for membership with the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers, Inc. (PSME) will start on Monday, October 26, 2009.

The members of the Board of Mechanical Engineering who gave the licensure examinations are Engr. Alfredo Y. Po, chairman; and Engr. Leandro A. Conti and Engr. Vicente B. Vosotros, members.
