Wendy Valdez wishes to go back to ‘PBB’

Wendy Valdez, who placed third in the second season of “Pinoy Big Brother,” wishes for the show to have an all-star edition so she could have a chance to go back.
“Being inside [the PBB house] is a unique experience. You can have fun. Tapos ‘pag may ginagawa kayo, talagang concentrate lang kayo sa mga task. Parang ang saya lang,” Wendy told Manila Bulletin Entertainment Online during the Oct. 16 launch of The BaR Apple Vodka which she endorses with Jay-R Siaboc, Joyce So, John James Uy and Jaymee Joaquin.
Despite being labeled as the Bad Girl of “PBB 2” because of her no-nonsense attitude, Wendy said she never regretted anything she had done inside the so-called Bahay ni Kuya.
“Kasi ako ‘yun,” she pointed out. “Kung ano man ang nangyari, may natutunan ako.”
Wendy cited dealing with different personalities as one of the lessons she learned in the 2007 edition of ABS-CBN’s reality TV show which, in turn, helped improve her personality.
She hastened to add, though, that she has remained the same person after “PBB.” It’s just that she was given an opportunity to fulfill her dream of becoming an actress via the 2007 afternoon soap, “Margarita.”
Wendy dispelled speculations that the housemates are only acting because they are aware that cameras are installed inside the house.
“Kung umaarte sila sa ‘PBB’ eh ‘di dapat ‘pag labas nila at nagkaroon ng show [ay] ang gagaling na nilang umarte. Like ako, hindi naman ako gano’n ka-dunong when I got out so ibig sabihin, we’re not acting.
"You can’t act every day of your life for four months. Ang hirap naman no’n. Ang haba-haba namang acting no’n,” she stressed.
Real friendships could also be formed inside the “PBB” house, added Wendy, as she has with her former housemates Bodie Cruz, Gee-Ann Abrahan and Beatriz Saw, the eventual winner.
When asked for her advice to the current batch of “PBB” housemates, Wendy said they should just have fun and enjoy the experience because it’s something that not everybody can have.
After “Margarita,” Wendy continued acting in different shows, the latest of which is “Precious Hearts Presents: Bud Brothers.” She’s still with Star Magic, the talent management arm of ABS-CBN.
Wendy is thankful for The BaR campaign because it brings back fun memories of her stint as a commercial model, some two years before she joined “PBB 2.”
