It is a design software that moves at the speed of the artist thinks.

This is perhaps the best way to describe the new Autodesk Maya 2010 and cost-effective product suites of 3D tools from Autodesk’s solutions for digital entertainment creation.

The answer for power and speed in a design software, underscored Teddy Tiu, country manager for Autodesk Philippines, is “in the Suite.”

Also stressing on the price, he said the Autodesk Digital Entertainment Creation product suite, can save buyers as much as 35 percent in cost when compared to purchasing each product license separately. “People would opt for the solution suite than the standalone Maya,” he cited.

He added that with the Suites, design community investors and developers can now address the entire pipeline or end-to-end process of digital content creation. Artists can increase creative capability, optimize productivity and achieve higher-quality results when handling tough production challenges.

Last 17 September, Autodesk, Inc. debut its latest solutions led by Autodesk Maya 2010 and the affordable Digital Entertainment Suites.

The new solutions spotlight the new and improved version of Autodesk Maya 2010 software, which unifies the Maya Complete 2009 and Maya Unlimited 2009 feature sets into a single, affordable offering. The radical integration combines a complete range of advanced simulation tools, including fluid, cloth, fur and hair effects, in addition to its comprehensive 3D tools for modeling, texturing, animation, rendering and more.

The Suites feature the Autodesk Entertainment Creation Suites and the Autodesk Real-Time Animations Suites. The product Suites incorporate Autodesk Maya 2010 or Autodesk 3D Max 2010 with extensive toolsets including 3D digital sculpting, real-time 3D character animation and data exchange technology.

“Artists need more creative capability than even before to win viewers’ attention and engage their emotions in today’s fast-moving, prolific world of digital entertainment and design,” Tiu said at the launch event anchored by the theme, “Winning by Design.” “The solutions enable that set of capability to help artists win by design, by transforming creative ideas to the final frame in superior quality with less time and less budget.”

“There is a vast opportunity for Asian companies to compete and emerge as the preferred center for the development of local creative content, outsourcing and collaborative animation services. The advancement of Autodesk digital entertainment creation solutions is critical to fuel the emerging needs of the Asian animation, film and entertainment industry,” he added.
