An old man was gunned down in Quezon City Saturday night following a confrontation between him and the husband of a woman he had been courting.

Chief Insp. Benjamin Elenzano, chief of the homicide investigation section of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), identified the victim as electrician Nestor Miguel, 50, married, a resident of B-11 L-2 Area B Kanlaon St., Barangay Payatas B, Quezon City.

Elenzano said Miguel sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the body and died on the spot following the shooting incident that took place at 9 p.m. Saturday along Kanlaon St., Barangay Payatas B.

The police official said they also found in the area a seven-inch long knife which is believed to belong to Miguel.

In the meantime, Elenzano said they are hunting down the suspect who was identified as Marianito Tordisillo, alias Batang, of Madjahas St., also in Barangay Payatas B.

Elenzano learned from Tordisillo's wife, Angelita, that the victim had been trying to court her and had been seen hanging around her house and had even been sending text messages to her.
