Businesswoman Mikaela Bilbao thinks her being privy to some of the business affairs of Gretchen Barreto and Pops Fernandez may have been the reason she was dragged into the recent controversy involving the two.

“Marami akong alam maybe that’s why ako ‘yung pinaratangan. But they could have called my attention (to it). If I were in their shoes, I would have asked them to do that,” said Mikaela on “Showbiz Central.”

She reiterated having no knowledge of the text messages that were sent to Gretchen about a controversial road project, insisting that it was Pops who wanted to join the “project.”

“I’m not interested in (anything that has to do with the) government nor will I ever be. I’m here today to defend my integrity as a businesswoman,” she declared.

Mikaela said she still holds Gretchen in high esteem but that she could only wish for the actress to clear her name.

“I don’t have any grudges (against Gretchen). Let’s respect each other’s lives. I don’t know if she will clear me because I know her, but I do hope so. If you (Gretchen) can please clear my name, I would be very, very relieved,” she said.

Lyka Ugarte harassed by PAGCOR employee?

Former beauty queen Lyka Ugarte claimed that she was sexually harassed by a PAGCOR employee, an experience that added to her worsening depression.

“I (already) sent a complaint letter and they’re handling the investigation in an expedient manner,” said she on “Showbiz Central.”

Lyka admitted that although she has reassured her children several times that she will no longer attempt committing suicide, she just keeps failing so far.

“(So, now) I will just say I will give my best (to keep my word),” she said.

Vilma Santos on her political plans

Star for All Seasons and current Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto admitted to have turned down several offers to run for a national post.

“I’m not really entertaining (that). Hindi ko papasukin ang isang bagay na hindi ako handa,” Vilma said on “The Buzz.”

She revealed that it’s her husband Ralph Recto who is actually thinking of doing so.

“He will run again as senator. Hindi ko ipagmamalaki ang asawa ko kung hindi ako naniniwala sa kanya,” said she.

The actress commented on the recent Angel Locsin-Luis Manzano split.

“They’re still friends. I know Angel, she’s a good person.”

For her birthday, Vilma’s wish is for more people to help the typhoon victims.

Carmen recently underwent the “first operation in her life;” a surgery to remove the two-inch lump in her breast.

Cristine Reyes reunites with first love

Actress Cristine Reyes is currently dating her first love, a student leader at the Ateneo de Manila University.

“Di kami mag-on. Busy siya sa school niya at ako naman, sa work. Pero lumalabas kaming dalawa,” said she on “The Buzz.”

The actress said the guy is the reason she is unsure if she will give her ex-boyfriend Dennis Trillo a second chance if he asks for it.

“Right now (kasi), masaya naman po ako.”

In another interview on “Showbiz Central,” Cristine confessed to have developed deeper admiration for her “Patient X” co-star Richard Gutierrez.

“Mas lalo ko siyang hinangaan nang makilala ko siya,” she said.

Did Baron Geisler raise a ruckus?

Entertainment writer Jobert Sucaldito said on “The Buzz” that reports have reached him that a drunken Baron Geisler reportedly caused a commotion at director Maryo J. de los Reyes’ recent party.

Sucaldito said it was the actor’s third time to run amok, though the reason for his doing so was not stated.

The writer added that Baron was brought out of the venue then beaten up.
