Sunshine Dizon

After suddenly exiting “Tinik Sa Dibdib” due to health reasons, actress Sunshine Dizon has reportedly asked the GMA-7 management to release her as their talent.

A source said that Sunshine wants out of the network because she feels she is overworked. She allegedly complained about the long taping hours she spent on “Tinik Sa Dibdib,” and was miffed when her request for shorter work hours (specifically, to be allowed to leave the set at 2 a.m.) was turned down.

The actress, it is said, has asked for her release paper even while she is still bound by contract to work under the Kapuso network banner for two more years.

GMA-7 has served to media this official statement on Sunshine's backing out of “Tinik Sa Dibdib”:

“GMA Network would like to inform the public that it has pulled out Ms. Sunshine Dizon from her current afternoon drama program, Sine Novela presents Tinik sa Dibdib, due to health reasons.

“It was decided that Ms. Dizon’s condition would make it impossible for her to perform as an actress. GMA Network advised Ms. Dizon to rest in order to fully recover.”

Sunshine spent a day at a hospital recently due to severe migraine.

Some people speculate, however, that the real reason Sunshine has been sickly of late is because she might be pregnant---a rumor that her mother, Dorothy Laforteza, squashed in a separate interview.

Sunshine’s rumored boyfriend is said to be the brother of former actress Tanya Garcia.

Sunshine is currently in Pampanga. She is said to be mulling going to the U.S. soon for a short vacation.
