Did Kapamilya love team Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson not claim their German Moreno Youth Achievement Award at the recently concluded FAMAS Awards because they didn’t want to share the stage with Kapuso screen partners Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica?

Kim and Gerald attended the ceremonies but they were nowhere to be found by the time their award was given out. Apparently, the two had already left for the taping of their respective ABS-CBN shows.

Kuya Germs, who bestows the award annually, reportedly stood on stage for several minutes, waiting in vain for Kim and Gerald to come up. Sensing that the two were no longer around, he reportedly had to announce that anyone from ABS-CBN could claim the award in behalf of Kimerald.

The master showman was reportedly hurt by the incident. It was the first time that honorees snubbed the award named after him, which he gives to outstanding young stars making inroads in the industry.

A reporter connected to ABS-CBN was able to get the side of Kimerald. He was told that FAMAS organizers knew beforehand that the young stars could not stay long because they were just "pulled out from their [scheduled] taping."

And since Kimerald were already needed in the set by the time they were supposed to accept the German Moreno Youth Achievement Award, Kim and Gerald had no choice but to leave the FAMAS ceremonies without personally accepting it.

Unlike Kim and Gerald, Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica received their German Moreno Youth Achievement Award at the ceremonies.

If Kimerald had stayed, the two love teams would have shared the stage that night.
