‘Twilight’ fan frenzy over ‘New Moon’

Several weeks before the actual release of the much-anticipated sequel to vampire mega hit “Twilight” of last year, advanced tickets offered on websites have been sold out proving that fan frenzy is breaking records for “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.” These early indications, with most of the shows at or around midnight when the movie debuts in the US and Canada, lead to the logical conclusion that all hell will break loose in theaters once it goes worldwide.
In the second installment of Stephenie Meyer’s phenomenally successful “Twilight” series, the romance between mortal and vampire soars to a new level as Bella Swan delves deeper into the mysteries of the supernatural world she yearns to become part of – only to find herself in greater peril than ever before. Following her ill-fated 18th birthday, Edward Cullen and his family abandon the town of Forks, Washington, in an effort to protect her from the dangers inherent in their world. As the heartbroken Bella sleepwalks through her senior year of high school, numb and alone, she discovers Edward’s image comes to her whenever she puts herself in jeopardy. With more of the passion, action and suspense that made “Twilight” a global phenomenon, “New Moon” brings back Hollywood’s hottest love team of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart reprising their roles as Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, respectively. Hunk actor Taylor Lautner co-stars as Jacob Black, a member of the mysterious Quileute tribe. “New Moon” rises on Nov. 20. (ZB)
