With the outdated weapons of security personnel, a Quezon City official feared more robberies and lawless incidents are likely to happen especially with the approaching Christmas Season and national and local elections.

In his appeal to police authorities, Quezon City vice-mayor Herbert Bautista urged them to require security agencies to upgrade their equipment and training to discourage lawlessness especially in malls and commercial areas.
