Game on Tuesday (The Arena, San Juan)
2 p.m. — St. Benilde vs FEU
4 p.m. — Ateneo-OraCare vs Lyceum

Fresh from a pulsating triumph against San Sebastian College, Far Eastern University shoots for the second quarterfinals berth against College of St. Benilde even as Ateneo takes on winless Lyceum this Tuesday at the resumption of the sixth Shakey’s V-League at The Arena in San Juan City.

The Lady Tamaraws, who scored a come-from-behind five-set win over SSC last Sunday, battle the Lady Blazers in the opener at 2 p.m. with the hope of nailing the second of the six berths in the quarterfinals.

With a 4-1 win-loss record in the single round robin eliminations, the Morayta-based Lady Tams need only another win today to join the league-leading University of Santo Tomas (5-0) in the next stage of the event presented by Shakey’s Pizza and organized by Sports Vision.

Clashing at 4 p.m. are the Lady Eagles and the Lady Pirates, still in search of their first win in the tourney backed by Mikasa, Mighty Bond, OraCare and Accel.

Both the Lady Eagles and the Lady Pirates are coming off stinging defeats with Ateneo bowing to FEU, 25-20, 23-25, 25-21, 25-19, and Lyceum absorbing a straight set 25-19, 25-23, 26-24 loss to the Lady Blazers last Sunday.

But Ateneo, which is tied at fifth with St. Benilde at 1-2, remains the heavily-favored team owing to its superior frontline spearheaded by guest player Charo Soriano, Fille Cainglet, Kara Acevedo, Gretchen Ho, Bea Pascual Dzi Gervacio, and Misha Quimpo.
