Now it can be told: Angel Locsin and Luis Manzano are no longer a couple.

The confirmation came from Angel who was besieged with questions about the issue by the press on the set of “The Buzz” last Oct. 25.

"Opo, apat na buwan na kaming break," Angel admitted.

Asked if there was third party involved as insinuated in some reports a few months back, Angel just laughed.

"Ano ba! Ayokong sagutin 'yan," she blurted.

Angel was reportedly romancing a rich Chinese guy who allegedly showers her with expensive gifts all the time. It was even reported that Angel was able to donate P600,000 cash to victims of typhoon Ondoy because of her "rich benefactor."

But, really, who is this guy?

"Kung sino man siya, mag-donate na lang siya sa Shop and Share online," was Angel’s noncommittal response.

Angel gave no credence to rumors that Luis being linked with other actresses, including newbie Maricar Reyes, caused the split. 

"Ayoko pong mag-comment tungkol diyan kasi si Luis hindi rin po nagko-comment. Respeto na lang po natin kay Luis," said Angel almost pleadingly.

Although they have already broken up, Angel and Luis still talk to each other every now and then “pero minsan din, hindi."

The actress also clarified rumors that she's transferring to Viva Films.

"Magre-renew po ako ng contract ko sa ABS-CBN at sa Star Cinema. Two years po ang pipirmahan kong kontrata. May mga gagawin po ako sa Dos," she said.

She hypothesized how the issue about her moving to Viva came about.

"Siguro po, nakikita nila si Tita Becky (Aguila) na nasa Viva kasi naroon po ang mga  alaga niya sa Viva, sina Jennylyn Mercado at si Valerie Concepcion. Ang alam ko kasi, si Valerie po may lalabas na instructional video sa Viva. Si Jen naman, alam naman nating lahat na co-manage siya ng Viva at ni Tita Becky," she said.

In January, news of Angel's breakup with Luis surfaced. It was even reported that it caused Angel to cry while performing a number on “ASAP.” This rumor came after Luis and Angel spent the Christmas holidays in Macau with Vilma Santos and Ralph Recto.

Angel admitted back then that she and Luis had a problem, but they were able to patch things up. She even rated her relationship with Luis as “a perfect 10."
