Horror booth for a cause opens

MANDAUE CITY, Cebu – In an effort to gather more funds for the benefit of indigent children here, the Mandaue City Council, aiming to strengthen measures for the protection of children, along with non-government organizations (NGOs) sharing the same advocacy, launched recently this year’s “horror booth” for a cause for the third straight year.
Sarah Cortes, this city’s First Lady, said that it has been the Council’s aim to generate additional funds for disadvantaged children in the city especially now that the Yuletide season is fast approaching.
She added that from its humble beginning three years ago, the “Horror Booth sa Mandaue” has now become one of the most anticipated events in the province because aside from the fun and entertainment it offers to the public, it is also a fund raising activity.
The said activity is specially designed not only to entertain the public but most importantly to raise funds for the indigent children in the city, so they can be given a venue to celebrate Christmas.
