‘White lady’ seen in CBCP building?
Ghost stories, or places being haunted, become very common during All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, and the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has not been spared from such stories.
A staff of the CBCP in Intramuros, Manila has confessed to having seen a “white lady” in the building twice.
The staff, who requested anonymity, admitted seeing the “white lady” floating in the hallway of the third floor of the building on one occasion. The same employee also saw the “white lady” standing near a tree inside the compound at one point.
“Natakot talaga ako nung nakita ko yun. Pero hindi lang pala ako yung pinagpaparamdaman, yung iba din pala,” the CBCP staff said.
Apparently even outsiders saw the “white lady.”
“Girlie,” who visited her friend one time in the building, said she was shocked when she saw the “white lady” standing outside the ladies room at the first floor of the building.
“Nakakakita naman talaga ako ng mga multo. Nagulat lang ako kaya hinimatay ako nung time na yun,” she said.
But CBCP spokesperson Msgr. Pedro Quitorio said he is not convinced by such stories since he has never experienced seeing the “white lady” in all his years of stay there.
“In my 15 years of staying in CBCP wala pa ko na experience. I’m sleeping there and live there,” he said.
“Hindi ko alam kung bakit some people are more receptive to that than others,” added Quitorio.
His advice, however, to those who reportedly see “ghosts” is to just pray.
“Siguro they should pray for the poor souls in the purgatory kung human man yun, which I’m not very sure,” Quitorio said.
