‘Mom is still watching over us’ – Kris Aquino
TV host-actress Kris Aquino revealed on “The Buzz” that she recently felt the presence of her late mother, President Corazon Aquino.
According to Kris, the dimmer switch inside their bathroom at home mysteriously went on and off three times, with two to three seconds interval each, while she was taking a shower.
“I’m not takot because it’s my mom naman. It’s her way of telling me that ‘I’m still here, I’m still watching [over] you,’” she said.
The TV host-actress added that she and her siblings do their best to keep their promise to their mom “[na] hindi kami mag-aaway-away and magpe-pray kami lagi ng Rosary.”
The second time her mom made her presence felt was when Kris’ DVD player at home suddenly turned on to blare out Michael Jackson’s “Beat It.”
Kris’ husband, James, said this was strange indeed considering that he ensured the player was turned off before he left the house.
Kris said that it may be her mom’s way of saying that she is happy Kris and James had ironed out their recent misunderstanding.
Kris’ family visited their parents’ grave at the Manila Memorial Park on Oct. 31, while Ballsy, Pinky, Noynoy, and Viel did so on Nov. 1.
Korina divulges Mar's soft side
Korina Sanchez revealed on “The Buzz” that her husband, Sen. Mar Roxas “is [a] very emotional [person].”
“Tukso niya sa'kin, 'iyakin ka talaga’,” Mar rejoined.
The senator said he was moved to tears watching Korina walk down the aisle at Sto. Domingo Church on Oct. 27.
“I’m so happy na pinili pa rin niya ko. Touched na touched ako,” said he.
The broadcast journalist announced that she will keep her maiden name since she’s already known around the industry by it.
“Nakilala na kasi ako as Korina Sanchez sa TV at radyo, so it’s convenient to use. I’m glad na pumayag naman si Mar,” she said.
The newlyweds, who are presently in Japan for their first honeymoon, update their fans of their romantic whereabouts via the senator’s Twitter account.
Jennylyn Mercado graces FHM cover anew
Jennylyn Mercado is FHM’s cover girl for the month of November. It is her second time to grace the men’s magazine after doing so in January 2008.
The Kapuso actress said that the people who presided over the shoot had to work around the limitations she set. She emphasized, however, that being a mother (in her case, to Alex Jazz) should not stop a woman from going sexy every now and then.
“Hindi porket mommy ka na [ay] bawal ka [nang mag-pose sa mga men’s magazines]. Basta lang alagaan nila [other celebrity moms] lagi 'yung sarili nila,” said she.
