Robin Padilla outs separation from Liezel
Albeit mum about details, Robin Padilla confirmed that he has separated from Liezel Sicangco.
According to “Startalk,” Robin only said two words to Ricky Lo on the matter: “It’s true.”
In another recent interview, which the action star requested to be unrecorded, he said that he and Liezel are going through tough times but he will open up about it in due time.
Robin, a Muslim, is prevented to elaborate on the separation because Sharia Law requires privacy on matters of marriage and divorce.
The talk show reported that Liezel had already tied the knot with either a Filipino or Australian citizen in Gold Coast, Australia in October 2008.
She and her children are flying to Manila on Nov. 19 to visit Robin, who celebrates his birthday on the 23rd.
Meanwhile, on “Entertainment Live, TV host Kris Aquino revealed that Robin has pulled out of what could’ve been his first ABS-CBN teleserye which also stars Kris, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson.
“It’s the timing siguro. He’s mind is set on doing a movie. ABS-CBN is set on having Kim, Gerald and me back [on primetime],” Kris explained.
She theorized that the action star might have also decided so because he is not yet ready to take on “daddy” roles.
“[So] nung tumanggi si Robin, binago na ‘yung plot line. Most of the action scenes now involve Gerald,” said Kris.
Jennylyn Mercado to use other surname for AJ
Actress Jennlyn Mercado said she wants her year-old-son with Patrick Garcia, Alex Jazz, to assume the surname of her future husband.
“Kung sino ‘yung darating na magiging husband ko, [‘yung apelyido niya ang dadalhin ni AJ],” she said.
Jennlyn added she will tell AJ the truth when he is old enough.
“I’m sure na darating din ‘yung time na maghahanap ng father figure si AJ. Wala namang reason para hindi ko sabihin [sa kanya ‘yung totoo],” said she.
Patrick does not protest Jennylyn’s decision. He hopes that she won’t deny him to their son.
“Wala namang masama, basta sana she won’t be that mean na hindi ipakilala [si AJ] sa tunay niyang ama,” said Patrick related.
The actor still wishes for a chance to be a father to their son.
“Sana one day ma-realize niya [Jennylyn] na it’s not about the both of us anymore. I may have failed in many things but at least give me a chance to be a father,” he said.
Aljur and Kris’ term of endearment
Kapuso love team Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal revealed that they call each other “Bebs,” a term of endearment that emanated from the young actress.
Aljur added that he often asks Kris to accompany him to the gym.
“Minsan nagyayaya ako mag-gym [kami] kapag Sunday after ‘SOP,’” said the actor.
Kris, on the other hand, is vocal about liking Aljur’s surprise visits to her house.
“Di makukumpleto ‘yung isang araw ko ng hindi ko siya nakikita,” admitted Aljur.
Marian-Dingdong chill in Singapore
Work turned to fun for lovers Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes during their three-day trip to Singapore for the launch of their hit teleserye, “Dyesebel.”
“Ang saya kasi pagkatapos ng maraming trabaho at [panahon na] di kami laging magkasama [ay] nag-join forces ulit kami,” beamed Dingdong.
Marian rejoined: “Actually, trabaho siya pero mistulang [naging] bakasyon.”
The Kapuso heartthrob disclosed that Marian gave her a travelling bag for their trip.
“Wala kasi akong traveling bag so binilhan niya ko dun,” he said.
