Former President Joseph Estrada has assured Kris Aquino that his love for her family goes beyond politics.

“'Yong pagmamahal ko sa inyo ay beyond politics---remember that,” said Erap during his first guest appearance on "The Buzz."

Kris got emotional during Erap’s recollection of her mother, the late Cory Aquino, who sought his advice on Kris’ showbiz career.

“Sabi ko sa kanya (President Cory), maganda naman ho 'yong anak niyo. Nakikita ko maliit pa lang siya nagsasalita na sa entablado. Bakit di niyo payagan?” he recounted.

Erap said that his comeback movie after 20 years, the forthcoming “Ang Tanging Pamilya,” is meant to bring joy to the Filipino people.

“Nakikita ko marami nang naghihirap sa ating mga kababayan kaya ginawa ko itong comedy (‘Ang Tanging Pamilya’) para ma-relieve naman sila sa kahirapan,” he said.

Just before the interview ended, Erap announced that he is donating his talent fee of one million pesos to the ABS-CBN Foundation.

“Kaya nga hindi pa ko pumunta dito noong nakaraan eh dahil wala pa 'yong cheke,” he quipped.

Candy Pangilinan and GB San Pedro, engaged

Director GB San Pedro has proposed to his girlfriend, comedienne Candy Pangilinan, on Nov. 1 in Tagaytay City.

“Pagpasok ko puro kandila, akala ko brownout. Tapos nakita ko 'yong mga petals-petals... ‘Ay, nag-abala,’ [sabi ko]. Nilagay niya sa chocolate cake ['yong singsing]. Akala ko design lang!” Candy recounted.

Although they are now engaged, they still await the annulment of their respective marriages.

The two are grateful for their second chance at love.

“Magpasalamat tayo sa Diyos at binigyan tayo ng second chance. Everybody deserves a second chance,” Candy said.

Toni G. not seeking political post

Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga denied she will run for public office in her hometown in Taytay, Rizal, in 2010.

“Hindi ako tatakbo. Kasi medyo active kami sa Taytay sa mga relief operations [kaya siguro napaisip ng ganun ang ibang tao],” told Toni on “The Buzz.”

She said that public service is not limited to those who are in politics.

“You can always serve the public kahit wala ka sa posisyon,” she said.
