A visibly irked Carmen Soo shrugged off accusations that she caused the Rachelle Ann Go-Gab Valenciano split up.

"I don't feel the need to justify something stupid. Maybe my name was dragged into it, [but] it's kinda silly," said she on “Showbiz News Ngayon” in an exclusive interview held during the announcement of her endorsement of Clinelle Professional Care.

The Malaysian actress resents being accused of such wrongdoings.  

"A year ago, I've been accused many times [of doing the same]. Maybe everyone should be kinder to me," she said alluding to the old rumor that she caused Jericho Rosales and Heart Evangelista's breakup.

Carmen said she and Gab are just friends.

"It's no secret that we're friends and that we, in fact, hangout. It's not like we’re hiding [it]."

As incensed as she was with the allegations, Carmen managed to crack a joke about it albeit sarcastically.  

"So, next year, we're [referring to Gab] getting married. Yeah, like, we're fixing our wedding plans right now. We're so in love. Next thing, I'm five months pregnant."

In the same SNN episode, Gab explained he and Carmen were just hanging out when they were seen together. He denied that there's more to their friendship than meets the eye.

"In reality, Carmen Soo is a very good friend of mine.. She'd even tell me, 'be patient with her (Rachelle).'"

Gab claimed he's not dating anyone. "Not in a million years. The next girl I want to date is Rachelle Ann Go!"

In a separate interview, Rachelle admitted she wasn't able to confirm rumors about Gab and Carmen.

"'Yon 'yong mga narinig ko sa tao, pero narinig ko kay Gab na wala naman talaga," said the Ultimate Champion.

Rachelle snubbed Gab when they crossed paths at an event in Cubao recently. Gab said he understands how her ex-girlfriend feels.  

"I don't want to be a hindrance to her growth. If it's her decision na ayaw niyang makipag-communicate [sa akin], I respect it," said he.
