CEBU CITY – Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña issued a stern warning to officials of the Regional Development Council (RDC), saying heads will roll should the council approved the Light Rail Transit (LRT) project even without his approval.

“I will see to it that people will be jailed should they go on and approved the LRT project even without the endorsement of the city of Cebu,” said Osmeña, saying the RDC can approve the project on a majority vote as the cities of Talisay and Mandaue have already endorsed the project.

Osmeña, who is a member of the RDC being the mayor of Cebu City, said he will attend the meeting of the council and express his opposition to the LRT project.
