A 53-year-old widow was stabbed dead before she was allegedly robbed by his male househelp inside his room in Sta. Cruz, Manila last Thursday evening.

Authorities believed that victim Arsenia Tan, of Room 2-A 536 T. Alonzo Street, Sta. Cruz, Manila had been dead for several hours before her body was discovered at 6:50 p.m. Thursday by her roommate Nellie Joy Amoncio inside their room.

Homicide investigators, meanwhile, launched a manhunt against a certain Dodong, who immediately escaped after the incident.

Senior Police Officer 2 Joseph Kabigting of the Manila Police District (MPD)-Homicide section described the suspect to be about 5'2 ft. — 5'4 ft, with curly hair and average body structure.

Amoncio said she saw the bloodied body of Tan inside their room when she got home from work. "Nagkalat yung mga gamit sa loob ng kuwarto ng biktima at nawawala rin yung isang kulay itim na bag kung saan nakalagay yung pera at alahas niya," she added.

Meanwhile, Kabigting said witnesses claim that Dodong was the last person seen inside the victim's rented room before the victim was discovered dead.

He added that Dodong, who serves as househelp in the building, can easily get inside the rooms of the tenants.
