To preserve women’s rights, Quezon City authorities said it will instill similar measures to further boost and safeguard the civil liberties of single mothers in this very discriminating environment.

For instance, Quezon City Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista vowed to bat for the granting of benefits like social security, insurance, medical grants, education, and livelihood assistance to qualified beneficiaries.

He said that the situation a single mother is in is not only difficult in the financial aspect but also tough emotionally in raising the offspring in a very demeaning and judgmental society.
