The Bureau of Customs (BoC) will resume Monday the implementation of the Electronic to Mobile (E2M) system in the Manila ports without the use of the old Automated Customs Operating System (ACOS) as ordered by President Arroyo.

Customs Commissioner Napoleon Morales said E2M/ IAS (Import Assessment System) have been implemented in recent months simultaneously with the manual system of filing of entries due to the procedural errors encountered by the new system.

“Starting Nov. 16, we will fully use the E2M system as the glitches in the past have been resolved. There will no longer be dual system of filing from now on,” Morales said in an interview.
