Alex Gonzaga is getting her dose of showbiz spitfire when fans of Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson let out a barrage of negative comments against the “Juicy” host due to alleged statements Alex reportedly said on the show about the pair.

The younger Gonzaga who is now trailing her sister Toni Gonzaga’s footsteps admitted that she had been affected emotionally by the nasty comments hurled at her online. She told the media event for the clothing line Shapes which the sisters endorse, “Traydor daw akong kaibigan. Kinausap ko si Kim kasi magkaibigan naman kami talaga. Kasi yung iba naman dun sa mga Kimeralds, hindi naman nila napanood ang ‘Juicy’ nung panahon na yun. Yung iba, nagre-react na lang sila, kahit na hindi naman nila alam, dinadagdagan na lang nila. E, since, baka pag nakita ni Kim gumawa na kasi sila ng story at pinalala na nila ang sitwasyon.”

Kim told Alex that there’s nothing to apologize for or discuss further because the young actress knows how fans can be too protective of their idols at times. “Sabi niya [Kim], ‘Naku, okey lang yun. Aggressive talaga yung mga fans.’”

Toni had a hand in helping Alex move on from the sour episode, she told her younger sister to rely more on her faith since the fangs of showbiz are just showing her the “tip of the iceberg.” “Marami pa siyang pagdadaanan talaga kaya I encouraged her to read the Bible more. Host kasi siya eh and in that line of work, it’s good to be guided always. Iba kasi yung blessed wisdom that comes from the Bible.”

On a lighter note, Toni made Alex open up about her showbiz crush Jericho Rosales. “Crush niya talaga si Jericho,” Toni said, “Noong hindi pa siya [Alex] artista, nilapitan niya si Jercho at nagpa-picture. Ang opening line niya, 'Hi! Kapatid ako ni Toni Gonzaga... puwedeng magpa-picture?’”

Alex added, “Nakita ko siya, nagwi-withdraw pa sa ATM sa may ABS-CBN. Umakbay naman siya [Jericho] sa akin at pumayag naman agad.”

When the media teased Alex that romance with Jericho is not that impossible since she and the actor are both unattached, she could not help but blush at the thought. “Huwag kayo ganyan!” she said.

Should she open her heart to someone, the guy will not be like her Ate Toni’s type. “Ako, ayoko ng masyadong good boy, ayoko ng smart looking... Gusto ko yung bobo-looking!” Alex joked then seriously thought of the likes of Jericho and Derek Ramsay. “Ang gusto ko, yung parang brusko, yung parang maton.”

However, Alex made it clear that love is not part of the plan at the moment. “Hindi pa kasi talaga puwede kasi bukod sa nag-aaral pa ako at may career pa, ayaw pa talaga ng parents ko. Mahirap daw kasi na kalat ang attention ko. So, career at aral muna. Although, may ipapakilala na nga ako kay Mommy, one of these days, na manliligaw. Na matagal nang nanliligaw since 18 pa ako.”
