Amanda Coolley Van Cooll is new ‘Sole Survivor’
After 39 days in the Palau island, 24 tedious challenges, and 14 dreadful Tribal Councils, “Survivor Philippines Palau” has declared Amanda Coolley Van Cooll as its “Pinoy Sole Survivor.”
The construction worker from Mindoro outdid fellow castaways Justine Ferrer and Jef Gaitan by obtaining the most number of votes from the Tribal Council.
“I was shocked [when I won]. The chances were 50-50. I felt it was between me and Justine,” Amanda said on “Startalk.”
She believes she was able to convince the Council with everything she said.
“Galing sa puso [ang lahat ng sinabi ko]. 'Pag nandun ka sa dulo, very emotional na talaga. Hindi mo na iisipin 'yong pera, eh,” she said.
Justine, who lost by a point--- she got three while Amanda got four---attributed her defeat to her fiery temperament.
“Sa tingin ko malaki ang naging epekto nun para magbago ang isip ng Jury. Pero para sa'kin ang mahalaga, nakahingi ako ng paumanhin sa mga taong nasagasaan ko,” said she.
Jef made an explosive confirmation during the interview that she and fellow castaway Marvin Kiefer are now officially an item.
The Final Three castaways are open to showbiz opportunities.
Ai-Ai wants no material gifts
Comedy Concert Queen Ai-Ai de las Alas wished not for tangible possessions but immaterial ones during her recent birthday.
“Wala na [akong mahihiling pa]. Good health na lang sa'kin at sa mga anak ko. Tsaka sana wala nang dumating na kalamidad sa'tin,” she said on “Entertainment Live” during her birthday celebration on Nov. 11.
Baby James to star in Kris’ teleserye
TV host-actress Kris Aquino revealed on “Entertainment Live” that her second son, Baby James, will have his TV debut in her upcoming teleserye with Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo.”
“She’s the younger brother of Kim. Siya 'yong magiging bridge para maging close kami [ng character] ni Kim,” Kris intimated.
Another good news that Kris announced was the Platinum award her album with Baby James titled “We Are One” will receive next week.
“Thank you very, very much. It was very special for me kasi Baby James is part of it,” she beamed.
