Jed Madela

The Manila Chamber Orchestra Foundation will present a special evening to celebrate life through music from the artistry of the World Champion Performer, Jed Madela, for an evening entitled “Jed Madela: One Voice.” It will be held on Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. at the Philamlife Theater, United Nations Ave., Manila.

One of country’s brightest young artists today, Jed Madela never ceases to enthrall audiences here and abroad with his awesome voice and innate musicality. The clarity of his tone, his voice quality and amazing range coupled with his sensitivity towards the music he is performing makes him a consummate artist. He was hailed as the Grand Champion Performer of the World from the prestigious World Competition for the Performing Arts, and the Best Male Singer and the People’s Choice Award in the 2002 Asia Pacific Music Competition held in Kazakhstan, Mongolia. Most recently, he was named Male Pop Artist of the Year by the PMPC Star Awards for Music. All his records under Universal Records reached the Gold Level, and his two latest recordings “Only Human” and “Songs Rediscovered” have achieved the Double Platinum Level.

Concert repertoire will include songs from local teleserye and of Josh Groban, Barry Manilow; the inspiring songs from the musicals, to name a few. Joining him in this concert is the sensational boy tenor Rhap Salazar and the versatile singing actress Cris Villonco. They will be accompanied by an 8-member live band under the direction of Bobby Velasco.

The proceeds from this concert will support numerous programs including the Music Outreach Program of MCO to bring various cultural events to schools, universities and communities for better exposure, appreciation and understanding of the arts and the Hope Program of Recovery Circle Foundation – the scholarship program that provides free treatment to families and individuals who are suffering from the disease of addiction.
